Power Partner Conversation: Advocating for Immigrant Neighbors (hybrid)
Miriam Dant of Dant Advocacy, Rabbi Aaron Spiegel of Greater Indianapolis Multifaith Alliance (GIMA), and Bruce Garrison of Patchwork Indy will join us for an update on policies focused on immigration and look ahead for what to expect in 2026. In-person space is limited to 40 people; pre-registration is required. A virtual option is available for those who can’t attend in person.
The 2026 “Power Partner Conversations” is a free, year-long series that will feature discussions with subject-matter experts on a variety of topics that affect immigrants and other vulnerable populations.
English + Community Conversation
Following the Indiana Repertory Theatre’s 2 p.m. performance of English, Immigrant Welcome Center will join ESL teachers, recent immigrants, and language justice advocates to unpack the complicated relationships with language and what it means to speak and be heard on one’s own terms.
A ticket to the performance is required to attend the Community Conversation.
